    Ignition

I have an 81 gs1100e one owner bike,me. Times are ah changen Kids are older and can't afford gas. The bike is going to need a little work,I'm going to change the charging system over to a after market kit. the bike had been crashed and I replaced the ignition cover but the igniter unit should most likely be replaced,is there a good less expensive after market part?
By the way great site check it out offten. any and all help would be helpfull. Jim

A good ignitor (and points/signal generator) replacement is the Dyna S ignition.

Z1 Enterprises specializes in quality Motorcycle parts for Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki and Yamaha Classic Japanese motorcycles from the 1970's and 1980's.

Check it out. Z1 is a good place to work with.

I also recommend the Dyna S. But if you don't want to spend the money I have a proven good igniter for sale. Part number match. I ran my bike with it so I know it's good.

Thanks for the info. I think I'm going to go with the Dyna s most likely new coils also.
