    starter celanoid

    starter celanoid just clicks when i push the start button,is this because the battery is low/flat which it is,now recharging battery to
    see if it makes a difference

    once the battery is charged...

    you can bypass the starter solenoid

        if the battery is charged but you still cant crank the engine - it's most likely either the solenoid or the starter motor
        if you bypass the solenoid and stil "nada" - it's the starter motor
        if you bypass it and all is good - it's the solenoid

          ok,already checked the starter motor,thats fine,just waiting on the battery to charge now cheers

            battery charged,celanoid still clicks nothing else,replaced celanoid,SORTED,problem solved cheers

                    Clicks

                    If your solenoid clicks, it is, almost certainly, not to blame. Stick a screwdriver across the two posts on the solenoid...yes, it will spark...if your starter doesn't turn over, the problem is with the starter. However...it's very unlikely that the problem is with the solenoid, especially it it 'clicks'. Clicking is good, not bad, with a solenoid. They are incredibly simple and only complete the positive connection..which is what the sound indicates.
