Anyone know if a left hand switch from a '79 GS 550 or 750 (non-self-cancelling signals) will plug in the same plug as a '79 GS 1000 left hand switch (self-cancelling signals)? Thanks.

The part #s will be different. Best way is to check the wiring diagram. But it's Not to dificult to rewire one if you can solder. Not sure if it will be Piug & play I used one from a 750 on my GS850 but the plug had been cut off.Comment

most likely NOT as the self-cancelling switch has more wires than the other one
you can make it work with a little soldering but you'll loose the self-cancelling featureComment
