    Thottle & clutch cables

I have fitted touring bars to my GS850G. Have tried to re route cables. Can anyone help with a model that would use longer cables. i need cables about 3 inches longer

Hi in upside down world and welcome to the forum.

There's a German company that lists these on Ebay regularly - I think from memory they are 6 inches longer than standard. Otherwise it's pretty easy to make your own. Does your front brake hose need replacing as well? If it does it's well worth thinking about upgrading to stainless.

There's a company here in the UK that makes cables for any length and model bike.

      Venhill. http://www.venhill.co.uk/

They may ship world wide. I've never used them myself.

Will check out those sites. I had a longer brake hose on hand.

          welcome on board, mate

good to know another 850 is on the nz roads

79-81 850s had pretty high bars as standard (see bruno)
if that's what yours are like then standard cables might fit
