What seat will fit my 82 GS850G

Hey guys,

So the PO had the seat recovered with vinyl and modified it to fit his 6'-4" tall self. I would like to get a replacement, but don't know which years of seat would fit my bike. Can anyone help? Thanks.

82 and up 850G 1100G and GK (tho you prolly dont want the GK seat cos its stepped for a touring type bike)

Not without serious modification to either the seat or the bike.

It's more than just the shape of the top of the foam. The pans are drastically different and they mount differently.

Remind me to check out the way Bonitas seat mounts next time im over Mr Steve, im curious as to HOW different the mounts are. I kinda suspect the later G models are much alike in mounts with the later L models, as the tanks mount very similar as well. (front posts further back on the backbone, and two down bolts in back.)
