V&H Pipe Puked out a piece of gold ribbon

I was just curious if this is what the inside baffling looks like. It's just small pieces of cloth??

Yeah first five minutes running on mine it spit out a ribbon of black fiberglass, but nothing since. It also smoked for a few as it burned off whatever chemicals were on it.

I noticed it at the end of a 500 mile today, at the end of a 1500 mile trip. I'm hoping it's the only thing that'll work itself loose; I dont want it too much louder =]

      Thanks Gonzo!

Yeah, the sound is eh... I'm ok with it, but the look and the improved handling and acceleration are more than worth it.

Pull the baffle out then run your bike you will quickly learn how quiet a V&H pipe is. I removed the packing material from the baffle to gain some extra noise!!!!

Even after you have ridden the bike for awhile, if you decide you want to re-pack the baffle V&H sells the packing material. So do LOTS of other suppliers. Ray.

I think the difference between buying the material vs buying a whole new wrapped baffle was like 5 bucks or something. I would simply buy another baffle, as it comes already wrapped. Just stick it in there, twist the bolt and go.

Sounds like the bike is junk.

You know where I live to drop it off.
