quick, but intimate rear m/c question....

    ok, guys,

i am putting my rear m/c back together on my 78 gs 750. it is the m/c with the separate reservoir attached by a short hose. my question is this:

is there a washer between the nipple that the rubber hose hooks up to, and the m/c body? i cant remember....stupid, i know, i should have taken some pics. i have this random nylon washer laying around, but is isnt really the "right" size, and i dont think it is right. rrrr.....so stupid.....all these little parts laying around my garage.....didnt i learn anything from my carb rebuild????

thanks!! oh, and the fische/my clymer manual does not show this tiny detail....

EDITED, COPPER WASHER IS VISIBLE. TYPO ON MY PART, SORRY

    Hi Greg,

If by nipple, you mean the banjo bolt on the pressure line, yes, there should be a copper washer on both sides of the hose, bolt head side and M/C side.
If you mean the rubber hose from the reservoir to the M/C, then here is what mine looks like, there is a washer visible: (be kind, she's in recovery from her PO)

The rear MC on my 750L has a washer under the nipple.
