I was wondering if i need to replace my reservoir going to a gsxr dual disk for my stock dual disc on a 84 gs 750?.I was bleeding the brakes but it seems to soft still?.I don`t want to go to a newer gsxr res.I like the stock look.Can a new res on any sport bike work?.

what matters is the mc piston diameter
if you can find out what that is on the gsxr that the brakes came off that would clear it
i THINK yours would be 14mm

btw, larger mc diameter would not change the feel of the brake lever but only its travel distance (will be shorter)
- but because of this the brake lever may APPEAR to be firmer, as it will "bite" sooner

Stock master for a dual disc GS is 5/8" - a smig under 16mm. Single disc bikes use 14mm masters.

In my experience, using a 14mm master on a dual disc system will result in a spongy feeling lever since there will be more lever travel to displace the necessary amount of fluid compared to a 5/8" master. Hand pressure will be less but travel will be higher. I recommend staying with 5/8".
