    Weird Idle Problem

83 GS650, did a carb cleaning and the bike idles great at 1100 rpms, but will surge to 3000 rpm after 2-3 mins and stay there. I can reduce the high rpms but turning down the throttle idle screw.

I suspect an air leak but double checked everything with a propane torch (not lit) and no indication of an air leak.

I checked the diaprahms in the slider and no pin holes or rips. Carb boots are new so no cracks or leaks with new o rings.

    Where to now??

installed new plugs. I'll tear the carbs apart again and double check everything.
