    Non-suziki carb question

I know this isn't a Suzuki question but am a little desperate and know some of you folks have shoc Honda's. I'm rebuilding some carbs for my son's78 cb750k. I need to know what to replace the felt stuff that was wrapped around the choke shafts. Also, does anybody know of a good forum for sohc Honda's?

    Thanks,
    Greg

Hmm. I thought the Honda fours were DOHC by '78. I remember drooling over a 750K back then. Guess I'm mistaken.

    Anyway, Google is your friend:

... and there are many others.
and God said, "Let there be air compressors!"

1979 was the first year of the DOHC.

A guy that I worked with had one, and parked it right next to my 1979 KZ1300.

not familiar with the SOHC, do the carbs have an accelerator pump?

Yea, 78 was the last sohc year. The 78 carbs have a different accelerator pump than all of the preceding years. 79 had dohc and bucket valve adjusters.

Robert, Thanks for the link. I had done a lot of searches but some how missed that one.

          Thanks,

          Greg
