If they are both shafties it should fit. -

i assume the 1000 is an 8valve and the 1100 is a 16v engine
if so, the pipes are most likely not interchangableComment

As Chef said if they are both shafts and two valve motors they should fit. As Psyguy mentioned I do not think the 4 valve pipes will fit on a two valve motor. Suzuki made some chain drive 4 valve L's, maybe the 80 & 81 model years. There are a lot of parts that are interchangeable between the 850, 1000, & 1100 L's with the two valve motors. 82 & 83 model years have the most parts that interchange between L's. The 81 model year has less in common but still a fair amount of parts are the same. The 1000/1100 pipe is marked the same, the 850 pipe has different markings. I do not think the 850 pipe fits the 1000/1100 but maybe someone else knows for sure.82 GS850L - The Original http://s224.photobucket.com/albums/d...ePics067-1.jpg

No 1100L shaftie in 80 OR 81 to my knowlege. The first 1100 shaftie was 82 AFIK. You sure thats not a chain drive 16v bike? Or maybe 1000GL?? Both of those existed in 80-81 i do believe..Comment
