I have an 82 GS850 and am in the process of restoring the seat which was badly torn. I got a replacement seat cover from Motorcycle Pro shop cost about $75 including shipping. I have not installed it yet as the seat pan was rusted pretty bad. The cover looks just like the original. I have also seen them on Z1 website.

I believe that the GS seat cover is made from the hide of the very rare nauga.

Yep, many a nauga sacrificed their hide to help upholster everything from recliners to Chrysler K cars!

                    seat

A good upholstery shop can recover your seat cheaper then what a seat cover would cost. Had mine done for $50 (as long as your foam is still good) and its holding up great, already 12 yrs old since i had it done.
