Greetings from a newbie. I am from Naperville which is in the western suburbs of Chicago. This my first motorcycle.
I have an '81 GS750L. When cold it starts right up, when hot it cranks real slow and won't turn over. If I let it cool down a while it will start up; the cooler I let it get the faster it cranks and starts. I will not be denied the ride, so I will give it a push start when it's hot. I sure would rather push a button though.
I thought this may be the infamous stator problem, I went through the troubleshooting guide in the stator papers and did find that the stator was bad. I put an electrosport stator and put a new R/R as well.
Could it be the starter? ground?
Any advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Ken
