Why are there a lot of oil in the alternator housing on my GS1100 -82 ?
Are there correct ? and if, why ? Electrical parts and oil does not sound right for me. Anyone that have a gooooood explanation ?????????

The oil is meant to cool the stator.

I'm not 100% certain, but I believe it helps to cool the engine.

The oil is supposed to be there to cool the stator/alternator.
