is there an inner fender that goes underneath the chrome fender?

picked up a cheap fixer upper, and the back end is sort of a mess.

There is a plastic inner fender that sort of finishes the part of the fender you can't see. The part you found on Ebay (I just checked the listing) is what you need.

My '81 450 also has that bit. It's not an L, but I would imagine they're the same in that regard.
