    GS550ES revs stop at 7-8rpm

i'll be riding and get up to 7-8rpms and the bike starts to miss. like its running on 2-3 cyl. what do you think it is?? i am running an aftermarket exhaust.

a friend said it might need a rejetting.

Check your jetting with plug chops then verify that your timing is correct.

Do the coil relay mod this helped my gs550e pull much stronger through the gears with no miss.

    Hope this helps.

If you do a search on " coil relay mod " here there is tons of info on it, basicly you install a relay to give the coils a full 12 volts, the relay is triggered by the original wire that is attached to the coils. A fuse is installed on the circuit and a separate ground wire is installed and thats it.

          Hope this helps.
