    850 & 1100 carb bodies the same??

Is there any difference in carb bodies between 850 & 1100? Other than all the jets being different they seem to be identical. I'm trying to build a good rack out of some carbs I have in storage.
In other words, If I install all my 1100 jets in the 850 carb body, will I be ok?

    No

No, the 850 carbs are 32mm and the 1100 carbs are 34mm. I'm sure 4 or 5 others will come along and say the same thing, only a little differently.

          No opinion, just facts!

1100 carbs are 34mm BS Mikuni's (CV type)
850 carbs are 26mm VM Mikuni's (1979 only), or 32mm BS Mikuni's the other years.

          How did I do?

I've got some 1100 and 850 (34mm and 32mm) that the body's are good. I also made some complete racks this summer and have some left over bodies. What do you need and I'll look at what I got.

Looking for a #2 carb body for a 1100. Also what the heck is factory jet size for 1100? I got kits and they had 2 mainjets 115 and 107 and 2 pilot 40 and 45 and 2 air 160 and 170.

Did you look in the carb "sticky"?

It's the first post at the top of the tech forum. You will have to scoll through to find your particular model, but I'm sure it's there.
