    Carbs Leaking fuel?

Been a while since i've been on, mostly cause i've not been having any issues at all with my gs. Until recently.

Every once in a while (not always) the bike will run really badly upon startup and then start pouring fuel out the overflow tube on the right hand side (the one for the number 3 and 4 carbs.) If i'm correct in my guess, i've got a sticking float valve not shutting the fuel off when it gets to the correct fuel level. I know its on the number 3 or 4 carb. My question is basically if this would be a good guess as to what is going on or is there something else it may be? Thanks.

That or your float needle might be clogged up.

CV carbs ??? If you haven't do so ? Clean the carbs & make sure to replace the O rings on the float seats. Flush the fuel tank,

Sounds like you have some crud in your float bowls.

they are CV carbs were cleaned in the spring w/ new o-rings on all. my guess was that it was a sticky float valve because it doesn't always do it. IE - if the needle is stuck open, the fuel over flows on that carb cause it's not getting shut off when the fuel level is correct. The incorrect fuel level in the 2 carbs (because of the crossover tube) causes the engine to run really badly, and the excess runs out the overflow tube. I guess it may be junk in the bowl as well...I guess i'll have to pull the bowls off to find out. Hoping it's not the #3 carb and it's the #4 carb, since it's much easier to get to. Any other ideas what it may be or to determine which carb it is that's acting up?
