    Front Master Q&A

Will the front master off an 83 750ES work on my 83 1100ES? As in are they the same bore and mount set up? Anyone?

    Thanks

Bore size should be the same but not sure about the mount. Part numbers are different but not sure why.

The only thing that caused me to question it was the fact that the 750 uses those early "clip-on" type bars, where as the 1100 used standard riser bars. They look the same for all practical purposes. I will give it a shot and see if it works. Its probably not OEM identical, but it will serve its purpose i hope. Thanks Ed

Could be something to do with the angle of the reservoir, how it sits on the bars?

            Hey Josh,

Just took a peak at the master on my 750ES and the reservior is tilted at an angle to account for the bar angle...well, sort of. The angle of the reservior is not as steep as the handlebar angle. The master angle is not very steep so you should be fine even if your bars are flat on top.

            Hope this helps.
