    Turn Signal Control Unit - 1980 GS1100ET

The one I have suffered pretty badly in the fire. Some more details HERE. The fire being set by the PO in an attempt to kill all the spiders and wasps living in it.. kidding!

Anyway, what won't work without it and what do I have to know to re-wire sans the Turn Signal Control Unit? My plan is to swap out the gauges for something newer or even something modern from ElectroSport or the like.

What won't work is the auto-cancel feature on the turn signals.

Many have re-wired their bikes to use a standard flasher when the control unit has failed.
It is not critical for operation, but it sure is handy so you don't run out of blinker fluid.
Could be a factor, because KaleCo Automotive is still sold out of Synthetic Blinker Fluid.
