Installed a replacement harness and re-wired much of the fuse block panel and ignition module area with new soldered and shrink tubed connections, etc. As you can see, it powers up nicely with the borrowed battery from my Predator. The engine cranks over and makes spark at the plug wires. Now for the good news. Even without the carbs installed, they are still in pieces on the workbench, a spray of carb cleaner in the intake boots and it fires right up. I mean GRRRR!.. running engine! Full on running motor for like 2 seconds
! We are well on our way to working motorcycle. Of course, once I have the carbs back on it and can prove it goes in gear and moves under its own power then the real fun begins. Engine out and everything gets cleaned and detailed including new paint, polished bits, suspension upgrades and the whole ball of wax. BTW: I am still taking requests and suggestions on which way to take this. Here ya go.. Crusty Old GS1100E. What would you rather see sitting in my garage instead?

It's hard to look at I know. Here, this may help your burning eyes a little.
