I'm about to strip down, clean and rebuild the CV carbs on my '82 GS1100GL and have been reading up the guide and other information I can find either here or places like BikeCliffe's site.
All seems to make sense except when I did the VM's from my '79 850 there were post reassembly notes on how to set the pilot air and fuel screws to get the mixture close enough for the engine to fire up. Then there was further advice on how to adjust those screws on a per carb basis to get the mixture as close as possible to correct.
I don't see anything like that with the CV rebuild notes so assuming I need to do a similar thing this time, how do I go about it - what am I missing?
Can someone coax an imbecile to a higher understanding. Thanks as always.
