    VM33 smoothbore jetting on a GS1085

Looking for some baseline settings. Getting ready to rebuild the set I have. They have the 1.5 cut aways. Going on a 78 GS1000 with 1085 kit, ported head, Jardine 4-1, with K&N pods. Thanks for any help.

I would attempt the same thing i did with my 29's w/ the 1.5's. Set it up like sudco sez for the Kawi, but try going down one size on the poilets.

See what happens. Might want to try calling sudco give them a list of your mods and see what they think.

Down one size? Even with my ported head? And aren't the settings they show for stock bikes?

you make a good point keep it the way it is according to sudco and see what happens, worst case is it will run a little rich or lean but should get you to at least start.

Error on the side of rich!! Too lean can damage your engine. Dan

You are correct but he is only going to be running it in a trial and error session no 300 miles day, he should be ok running it lean for a minute or 2, he will know as soon as he hears popping and back fire.
