    Throttle cable routing & plugs

Two questions. Does anyone have a diagram of the throttle cable routing on an 83 1100E? What are the favorite choices for spark plugs for an 1100E? I use NGK D8EA's, stock recommendation. I don't seem to get good service out of them. I change them every season, and the engine loves it. Leave them in to long, engine gets cold blooded.

    Go to BassCliff's little website.

Look in the Service Manual section, find the entry for GS1100 '80-'83 T,LT,EX,SZ,EZ,SD,ED,ESD (37MB)

Click on it, it will download. (It will take a while, depending on your connection speed.)

Open the manual, look at page 447. That's for the '82 1100EZ, not the '83 1100ED, but they are pretty much the same bike, aren't they?

Thanks for the link about the cable routing, very helpful. I'm surprised no input about plug preference?

Most of us use the stock plugs. No reason to change. The NGK iridium tip plugs are expensive but extremely durable. You might want to give some of those a go.
