    Clutch woes continue '83 1100E

I'm still having problems with my clutch. I have new EBC springs to be put in and have the bevel spring washer and a few other things on order.

I tried washers on the existing HD springs and new stock springs and orienting the steels per RapidRay's advice. Rideable, but still slipping.

I really need to know how many steel plates and fibers are in an '83 GS1100E. Parts lists say 10 & 9, my bike had 10 & 10 and the dealer says 10 & 11. I'm reluctant to experiment and grind something up in my engine.

I'm using stock Suzuki parts, so If you want to pull a cover and count some plates, I'd really appreciate it.

This site says 9 fibers and 10 steels
How hard is it to get your spring bolts to start to thread? I have to push so hard that my bike almost tips over when its on the center stand. I have 3 ebc and 3 stock springs.

Bike Bandit & Alpha Sports diagram shows 9 and 9. Thats what I have now. Plates and fibers from FBG.

If your still slipping either your crush ring behind the steel that's wired in is bad or your fibers are toast (hardened of in spec) or the steels are out of spec.
