Oil pres. switch, can't find it...

So continuing the spring work on the bike, took the top end oil lines to the hydraulic shop to get rebuilt little concerned how much those are going to cost.
Found out the oil temp switch works just had to take the guages apart to fix some interference with the needle.
But found out that the oil pressure switch has calved
I went to too many locations today looking for a new switch that I am depressed
I actually had a couple of parts guys look at the part and ask me what it was, friggginn' ridiculus. Just about any switch with a M10X1 thread will work. But as soon as I tell them it is from an 83 motorcycle "I don't have one" YOU DIDN'T EVEN LOOK!!!!
I even explained to one guy that he same switch fits just about every Suzuki between 80 and 87. Doesn't matter, they won't even check the books.

I need some help, does anybody in have an extra one or know where I can get one?

I just pulled an oil pressure switch off a 77 GS750 this morning. PM me if you'd like it. I'm in Ottawa so shipping should be quick and inexpensive.

I bought one from a GS member a couple years ago for my 82 850. I needed the whole housing and switch...works great.

There are a couple on ebay right now too. I was looking for the oil temp switch and ran across them.

I am blessed, the Suzuki shop here, Action Sports, are really good at looking things up and getting them if they are in the system at all. Prices aren't even bad.

I would like to clarify for folks not familiar with the different generations of the GS750, the 83-gs750 (aka gsx750) is a totally different creature from the 76-79 gs750, the original first generation 750 is a roller crank type bike and runs very low oil pressure, it relies on volume of flow over pressure and does not have a oil pressure switch. they have a oil flow switch and it only takes about a half ounce of pressure to lift the contact off its seat.

the 83- GS750 is the third generation and second generation for the plain bearing crank that requires high oil pressure and is actually the daddy of the original GSXR engine. the exotic oil cooling system used on the original gsxr was proven on the the 83-85 GS750.

only a couple screws and a small bolt or two is all that will interchange between a 83 and a 77 gs750.

PS that switch is still in use today on at least every single street Suzuki over 250cc and is right out in the open clear as day on SV's
Part# 37820-33D10 $25.54usd suggested retail price at Suzuki.

go to the stupid idiotic counter drone at the nearest auto parts place and ask for a oil pressure switch for a 2003 Suzuki Aerio. 2.0 liter four, plain not SX O'Reilly auto parts list it for, $6usd

You guys are awesome, I ended up looking through parts books by myself to find a couple that would work.
Focus I will hit up the Napa for that switch tomorrow.

The ones off the 16V bikes will work, but not the 8V.
