is there any differance between a1980 850 engine and a 1981 850 engine?

yeah i found one about 2 weeks ago that had been sitting in a guys yard for about a year that i know of stopped to look atit and the motor was about the only thing usable on it, and he did not have a title but he just wanted $75 dollers for it. i just happend to think about it. im going to see if its still there my lick its probley gone!Comment

If the motor was sitting outside and the intake/exhaust ports were not sealed, there is a good chance some rings/bores may be rusted.Comment
