tune up pointers and how to

Hey im looking at going over this bike, its an 1980 gs1100 l, i intend on checking valve clearences, going through the carbs, changing from the current airfilter box to individual pod filters, changing oil/filter, and plugs anything else i should do while im here cause, ill already have the tank off etc., also can someone point me to the right direction to the carb rebuild series link and a link on how and what to set the valve clearences at. give the fuel tank a good look inside for nasty rust & rot. Do yourself a favor & do a proper tank clean & seal to eliminate that fine rust "silt" that will eventually clog your nicely cleaned carbs...

Check/clean the plug caps, as well as checking for good spark too.
