gs1100g igniter question

i have a gs1100g.i replaced the coils with the green dynas and traced the wires back to the igniter.the 2 and 3 cylinder is still not firing.im 98% sure it is the igniter box.i called my local parts sources for a new one,needless to say im suffering fron sticker shock.what other years and models have a compatible box and if anyone has one i will pay any reasonable price asked

Hi Mr. nwcrowder,

What year is your GS1100G? I'll look up a part number and cross-reference it to see what other bikes use that part. You can then use that information to widen your search on ebay/craigslist/etc.

I like using http://www.alpha-sports.com to look up part numbers. They give the original part number and any superseded numbers.

EDIT: A quick search using the 82-83 GS1100G shows that the 82-83 GS850G uses the same igniter part (# 32900-49410). There may be others.
