need to check valves

Ok im needing to check the valve clearance on my 1980 gs1100l. I know its a 16 valve engine but when i go to order the gasket it shows like 3 different part numbers and something bout a 20 bolt cover somebody know right off the top of their head and is there anything else i need to replace when i do this thanks

If there's any question, just count the number of bolts in your valve cover to be sure you order the right gasket.
