Question For Nessism

I am having a problem with my bike (does it matter what year and model it is?) and thought maybe you could help.

I put fuel in my tank last week and have ridden it about 150 miles. Out of the blue it stopped running on me I pulled over and checked the tire pressure by kicking both of them and they both seemed fine. I also checked my chain and it was still there. Are all chains made of metal or is mine a one-of-a-kind?

While checking important things like these I found a lever below the gas tank that has 3 markings on it. One of these markings is 'RES'. When I thought about it I figured that this is where you put the lever to make it RESistant to dying. I moved the lever to RES and it started again. I was right!!! I rode it some more and it died AGAIN and will not restart regardless of where I move the lever.

Does this mean I need a new seat? Any help would be appreciated.

The problem is that the shaft drive rear splines have stripped because you put the wrong oil in the fat Avon rear tyre whilst you were turning the bike into a streetfighter, cafe racer, bobber with a rattle can paint job.

Rumors are in the GoldWing circles that the only thing you can do to the bike without having to remove the seat is to check the air in the tires.

Just so you know, removing the seat on a Wing is easy, Just remove four bolts that hold the passenger grab rails to the sides of the seat, open the trunk to lift the passenger back rest a bit, slide the seat backward, then tilt the back up and remove it. Re-installing it is the reverse, of course, but many people find it very hard to line up the holes for the bolts. I don't seem to have that problem.

All the grounds or just the gravel and dirt where the bike is parked.

Jakob, when you move the lever to RES that means your switching to the RESERVE tank. Sound like you ran out of gas. Is this a serious post ?

Why do I get the feeling I'm the last one getting the joke ? I just thought it might be serious because the last time I had that problem replacing the muffler bearing cleared up everything.
