does it idle with out you having to keep it alive? or can it not idle on its own?

What did you do when you cleaned the carbs? Is the airbox still on the bike? Stock exhaust system? What year is the bike? What else have you done to the bike lately?

idles fine think it might b a problem with the petcock not getting it enough gas
