    Fronst master cylinder

    I suppose it's shot. I did a rebuild with a genuine Suzuki kit, replaced the sight glass, cleaned and repainted it and now I can't get any pressure at the output. I put it in a vise and pumped the handle until blue in the face and nothing.

    This bike has had so many problems it's unreal. If I had to do it all over again, I'd be way ahead parting it out.

    If anyone has any suggestions as to what else to try... I guess I'll try to find another M/C for an '83 GS750. How about suggestion on that front. I really don't want to purchase used again and go through this entire process once more.

    There are 2 holes in the bottom of the MC (on the inside) one is small and the other is tiny (I need glasses to see it and my eye's ain't too bad). My guess is that one or the other is blocked.

      Take the handle off and push the plunger in with a wooden dowel or a screw driver.

        Make sure those small orifices are open as already mentioned, you can also try to draw a vacuum on the outlet port. This helps draw fluid into the cylinder and prime the pump so to speak.

            Just had to buy a new front m/c. For a GS1000g cost me £186.
            I didnt want to be used as now I know it'll be workin for atleast another 29 yrs

              I'm an idiot. I took the darn thing apart again and noticed I put the plunger together wrong. I had the rubber seal before the spring instead of the other way around. That's what I get for being in a hurry.

              I've beld the brakes now and they work to a point. There still must be air in the line as they need to be pumped up.

              When I get done with this bike I'm through with rebuilding these for a while.
