    GS750 / 700 Clutch basket Damper

There is a little "anti rattle" damper on the back of the basket (there was a few posts on this in RenoBruce's "Beast" thread).

The 750/700 basket has the hole for it but looking on the Fiche at flatout it's not listed as a part - not even out of stock. Can anyone confirm - A does it need one? (seems to show one in my manual) & B where can I get one? Is it the same as the one for the 1000 for example?

    Cheers,

    Dan

I know this probably doesn't help, but the one on my 1100E was worn down to almost nothing...
So I took out what was left, threw it away and put my clutch back together...
Whatever it was suppose to do, I haven't missed it none.

      You don't need it.
Might as well put a pencil eraser in there.

Hmm why would they put it in there? Was it meant to be a rattle damper or what? I can't really decide what they were trying to achieve with it......

I remember on Renobruce's thread it was finally deemed it was important in someway (although I'm sure it doesn't prevent the clutch working as it should!)

That was my thinking... even better Ed has one I can borrow

Was kind of looking forward to getting the clutch buttoned back up & running the engine but I got to wait for other stuff now anyway...
