Got the bike running today. Yea! Can't get it to idol well. 1983 gd450. What should i do? either it is too low or it is racing but then comes back down and stalls.

Sounds like air leak. Do you have new intake o-rings installed? Where are the pilot screws set?

yes new o rings. screws set at 1.5 out pilot? do you mean the one on the outside? what do you spray around the boots to chech?

those o-rings... no i did'nt change them they looked good. i will have to get more carb cleaner tomarrow. i will try the screws 2.5 out also. thanks

Just change them. The spraying junk on the boots is an unreliable test.

You need Viton rubber O-rings. If Napa has them great, but unlikely. I might have a spare set if you get stuck (need to check the spares bin).

thanks. i was just looking at cliff's o-ring site. i only need 2 and i think they are 40mm. i'll e-mail him and see if he'll do just 2. thanks
