progressive springs --no damper rod???

    progressive springs --no damper rod???

    Got the forks apart. NO DAMPER ROD!!!! is this normal? I thought that hex bolt on the bottom came out to easy/ Please help quickly as the bike is in the driveway. RJ

            So what kept both halves of the forks from coming apart besides gravity? Also what did the bolt at the bottom screw into if not the damper rod?
