Goes like a scalded cat now!

Finally, got the VM29 carbs sorted out, and the GS1000 is running strong. The bike has new fork seals, rebuilt and painted front calipers, painted front rotors, brand new coils and plug caps. I have about $1800 into it, so that's not bad. It's been about a month since I purchased the bike. and am just now ready to ride it! But I have to wait just a few more days, because when replacing one of the boots on the caliper, I ripped it. I discovered a real easy way of replacing them after that experience. I can't wait to really give it an invigorating run. With no front calipers, I really can't get too crazy. I really like the power band of the big GS. Having had a 90 Kat 1100, and a ZRX1200, this bike is a lot like both of those bikes. I just dig a big bore 4. This really has been a labor of love. And to think, just the day before, I was ready to give up on it. Wow, I am glad I hung in there, encouraged by a few on here. Thanks for all of the help I received from everyone, and the patience you had with me.

Hey, thanks big-T! It saves me taking more pics. Cause, really, with all that I have done to it, it doesn't look much different than when those pics were taken. So it is almost a month to the day.
