By the book, but?
I use 90 wt. gear oil because that's what the manual recommends! No really because I have a bottle sitting on the shelf I want to use up. It splatters all over the wheel and tire,
but remains a long time on the chain too.
I'm looking for a cleaner chain lube too.1982 GS1100G-

+1 on the Teflon, especially in dusty environments. I may experiment with WD40 upon some testimonial of some fellow dual sport riders, but I have a lot of the DuPont Teflon to go through first. This is the latest, greatest thing in chain lube.
