Carb Rebuilding
Anyone in the Chicago area that would not mind helping me with my carb rebuild? I don`t have a garage or shop. I could bring the carbs to you and we could work on them together. I looked at the carb rebuild tips on this website but, it seems a bit too involved to tackle alone. I think I have the Mikuni 29mm smoothbores because my adjuster knob is on top of the carb bank instead of underneath.Comment

The KUDOS really go to Rustybronco. He was very patient and didnt think that any of my DUH questions were that stupid. I actually helped him do some valve adjustments on his 80.. now i know what a "BUCKET" is, what the SHIMS are, and how to use an old piece of ROMEX to get the shims out. Hell i actually feel confident enough to put gas in my bike by myself now!!!!!!MY BIKES..1977 GS 750 B, 1978 GS 1000 C (X2)

I would rather trust my bike to a "QUACK" that KNOWS how to fix it rather than a book worm that THINKS HE KNOWS how to fix it.Comment
