!!!!!!Engine Options!!!!!!
I was wondering, if i do swap out for a bigger engine, what's the biggest engine that would fit on the frame? i was looking in my service manual and it looks like the frame is the same all the way up to 450 models. but i dont want to go to a 450, i want to go bigger. so, whats the biggest engine i can fit on my bike.Tags: None -

IMHO, you would be much better off selling or trading the 250 for a bigger bike. The frame of the smaller bikes is not designed to handle the weight and power of larger engines. You would be opening a huge can of worms trying to stuff a big engine in a little frame. Probably not worth the time and expense.

+1...Its simply not worth it. Ive looked and you CAN, with a little effort do a 300 head on that sucker i think, but it wouldnt be worth the gains youd get.IMHO, you would be much better off selling or trading the 250 for a bigger bike. I think you may find a GS500 engine could fit .. but like the others say .. ride it for what it is .. and when you HAVE to have more .. get a bigger bikeComment

If you really want to have fun, go with a RM250 engine, 2 stroke.
Gear the sprockets to have some top end.
It would take a bit of creativity if that is what your after.Comment

I'd sell it and buy a bigger one. Shop around you can easily find a 550 or 750 for less $1k. I paid $380 for mine with a clear title.Comment
