    First small problem...throttle cable

1980 GS850GT doing carb removal (hopefully) and after getting the choke cable end off, the throttle needs to go...BUT after loosening the connector lock nut, I CANNOT get the blasted cable end out of the plate! I imagine it's in a channel like the choke cable-end, but the area is so confined, I can only get one finger in there to try to work it loose.
    Any help/suggestions?

Also, any good sources for airbox/carb boots? I have 3 fairly good ones, and 1 petrified.
    Thanks,
    Brian

Pull the cable off from the top cable mount by pulling up on the cable. With your finger pull the throttle open from another carb and remove cable.

Leave it attached until you can free the carb rack. There should be enough slack in the cable.

        Got it apart! Thank you.

As to the airbox boots, any suggested sources?
