'82 1100L have compatible electronics for a '80 850L

Just wondering if the coils, igniter and signal generator off a '82 1100L will fit and function on my '80 850L. Thanks

Cross reference the ignitor & sig gen part numbers from a parts fiche at a site like this:

http://www.partshark.com/fiche_select.asp

I know the coils will work.

Yes, no, no.

Unless you get the mechanical advance off the 80 the igniter and crank trigger will not work.
