Ok guys I'm a newbie at doing the valve checks on the 16 valve bikes. I have 2 sets of gauges and the lowest gauge doesnt even attempt to go in. Am i tight on all of them? or am i messing up somewhere?

Welcome to the nice side of screw-type adjusters.

You only need two feelers, both of them the same size. Pick the clearance you want, loosen both adjusters for that cam lobe, adjust so that both feelers have the same amount of drag, lock them in place. In other words, unless you are really curious, it does not matter what the clearances are now, you just set them where they should be.
