    Some Stator replacement questions

Please take a look at the photo. That crud at the bottom of the rotor is baked on-does anyone know what it is? Material melted from the previous stator maybe? I'm assuming its all right to remove it....?

Edit: Got rid of second question regarding all three wires being the same color from the new stator. Already explained in Stator Papers.

thats glue from where the factory attached the magnets to the rotor...leave it be.
put the new stator wires to any of the three origanal connections.

      Hi,

      I concur.

It won't hurt a thing to leave it there.

      Thank you for your indulgence,

Thanks guys, that makes things simple. And Cliff, I hope you're on the mend and the healing is right on schedule. I've been wondering how you're doing.

        Cheers,
        Ted
