Blown Engine?
I took my bike in two have it tuned after moving to arizona and the guy at the shop told me the engine was blown and that it would need to be replaced! What?! I was riding it before I brought it down here so I am confused. he said the compression was 130-125-55-140. What are the suggestions for fixing this problem.

Time for some new rings, or you have a blown gasket, or maybe a valve problem. Those compression numbers are fine except for #3. Run as fast as you can and get your bike back from Mr. guy at the shop. He's an idiot.I took my bike in two have it tuned after moving to arizona and the guy at the shop told me the engine was blown and that it would need to be replaced! What?! Exactly! And you might just want to take your own compression readings.
A tightly (incorrect) exhaust valve could be stuck open or not closing all of the way on #3.

strange...
i would get a second and 3rd opinion.
cylinders just don't go bad like that.
find a mechanic that can say more than...
ENGINES BAD....PAY ME.
don't go looking for parts before you know 100% whats wrong inside of the engine.Comment

+1 to both. Adjust the valves, do a compression test for YOURSELF, then if you find there are still problems, FIND THEM, then go from there. Unless of course you like wasting money..Comment

Sorry, the warranty is up.
Adjust the valves, check the compression again, take two aspirin and call me in the morning. The idiot probably forgot to open the throttle on that cylinder.
Happy to hear it's still up and running.Comment
