rear master reassembly help
If the picture comes up I got from previous post then it will be easier to see. The problem is how do you get the rubber cap that goes in after the spring and before the plunger back into the master cylinder. I have tried longer to do that then It has taken me to remove and clean the whole thing. I just can not seem to get it in there. any tricks or help would be appreciated. thanks

Are you using the proper assembly order?

yes that it took me awhile to find that pic to post it, it seems you found it first. but yes the second rubber piece I cant get it into the cylinder. does it go over spring and then inert or does it go over plunger. I keep trying over spring and it wont go. the spring drops into cylinder and the rubber plug thingy goes sideways every da_n time

The photos show the proper order and part orientation. Try a little brake fluid on the cup before you insert it.Originally posted by buckeyemike View Postyes that it took me awhile to find that pic to post it, it seems you found it first. but yes the second rubber piece I cant get it into the cylinder. does it go over spring and then inert or does it go over plunger. According to the parts fiche, you've got the spring reversed. The rubber end goes into the flared end of the rubber cup, then everything goes into the bore just as you have it lined up.Originally posted by Nessism View PostThe photos show the proper order and part orientation. put this together as Nessism suggest and then put it back on bike and the unit will go in but it does not extend back out. It is like there is something missing. It is like the spring does not extend after compressed. I can take the brake hose off and push it back down but that pretty much does nothing. then next time compressed it just retracts and wont extend again. I can get any fluid to flow through the cylinder at all. I cleaned out all passages( small one and tiny one from the resevoir supply.
