    SUCCESS!! Rewound Stator!

A short time ago the Stator Pages led me right to the bad news that my stator was toast. Off came the stator and it was beyond toast, more like blackened! There were some shorts and in places the wires were open. The hardest job was removing the old wire. Nasty job! After a good cleaning the core was insullated with fresh epoxy. I simply followed the instructions in the rewinding section of the stator pages. It was almost plug and play. Voltages look good!

          Repair enjoyment

It may sound crazy but, I enjoy working on my GS. A labor of love, I guess.
