    1000S fairing mounts?

I have managed to snag a 1000S fairing for my bike.
    Unfortunately it comes sans mounts.
It would be much appreciated if someone could take some pics and measurements for me, so I can fab some up myself.
    Cheers

You might want to take a look at my 1000S album. Quite a few photos of the brackets. http://s101.photobucket.com/albums/m...sism1/GS1000S/

    To measure is to know.

I know you want to make your own but i think they are still available from Suzuki.

I don?t want to make my own per se.
It is just that the last time I tried to buy anything from Suzuki NZ
They wanted to charge me $24 US for a shim and $65 US for a valve cover gasket, so you can understand why I am not too keen to deal with them.
A lot of the online places that you guys use will not ship to NZ and if they do it costs an arm and a leg.
The only place I deal with online is Z1, who I have found to be very reasonable. Unfortunately they don?t sell the brackets.

You can get new ones from Alphasports . You'll need to be spotty dick with the top ones or they'll pull the fairing out of shape. I'm thinking of getting a set for my S as at some time in a previous life it's been dropped so the fairing is a bit "down" on the right and rubs my master cylinder . I could bend it , but someone has already had a go and it's a bit ugly already , and it's for the S , and if I don't tell mum how much they cost , and ............. Let us know how it turns out. Cheers , Simon.

Could you please post a link to them on their site?
I just looked several different ways to no avail.

The top mounts are under cowling on the GS1000ST $33.68 each
The bottom guides are under steering stem $11.48, but they dont have a price for the RH

That hardware would cost more than the fairing if I bought them!

                          Cheers

I don't how to do such things . If you go to Alphasports motorcycle parts diagrams , then to 1979 , then gs1000sn , then to page 11 "cowling" . $33.68 each . Cheers , Simon.
