    crazy question about gas smell

Ok the past few days i have ridden my bike to work i have noticed a gas smell huverring around my bike. It sits out in the sun all day, so could this be coming from the vent in my gas cap? I've checked for leaks everywhere possible but dont see any.

Very possible from the tank vent, altho my carbs occasionally puke up a bit of gas

It only takes a few drops to smell

    Been hot there lately?

A place sometimes forgotten is the tank itself. I had the same thing happen on a '79 GS1000 and it was the seam on the right side starting to disintegrate.
Probably the vent, which is a good thing.
