Stanless bolts - anti-seize??
I just ordered a set of stainless bolts from Z1Enterprises (which showed up in two days, because, because?.well?Z1Enterprises is da bomb). I?m just going to slowly install these a few at a time. I know I need to coat them with anti-seize,but?.what do I use? What?s the recommended stuff? I did a search, but haven?t come up with it."When I give food to the poor, they call me a saint. When I ask why they are poor, they call me a communist." Bishop Helder Camara

Any auto parts place has anti-seize, and you don't need to "coat" them, just a little blob on the threads is enough, it will work it's way around.I just ordered a set of stainless bolts from Z1Enterprises (which showed up in two days, because, because?.well?Z1Enterprises is da bomb). Go to your nearest auto supply store and just ask for anti seize compound. It's a regular item that any auto supply will carry. It comes in a container with an applicator brush built into the cap. Be careful where you put it because it doesn't remove easily. Especially from hands and clothing. Don't ask me how I know this.

I have been using this Permatex on everything, works well and for fasteners I have removed later they come right out.

Damn, you guys are quick. Thanks.
I've been missing a bolt on the right side for 8 years (I bought it that way). I've always meant to get a replacement from Bike Bandit, but it occurred to me that this would be a better approach. Should look better, too, though anyone who's seen my bike (any of mine) would think that would never enter my mind."When I give food to the poor, they call me a saint. When I ask why they are poor, they call me a communist." Bishop Helder Camara

I prefer copper based also. I use the Loctite stuff. Here is a link with the stuff that I use. It's been used on airplanes, cars and bikes with no problems.

Much harder to get the copper stuff here - most is Aluminium or Zinc. I bring it back from the UK or get someone to bring it over for me.....

I bought two tubes of copper anti-seize from O'Reilly Autoparts in the last month. It was just hanging on the rack as normal shelf stock.
Fortunately, they had a record of the second tube so I was able to return it without a receipt. I don't think I'd use two tubes of that stuff in a lifetime.
